Level 1 Award in Wines

This introductory level course introduces students to major wine styles, practices for proper wine storage and service, as well as the fundamentals of food and wine pairing.

This certification course aims to provide students with the product and service knowledge necessary to excel in wine-related positions in restaurants, bars, retail outlets and winery tasting rooms. This is also very suited for the avid wine consumer looking to expand their knowledge and enjoyment.

This course is ideal for students preparing for their first job in the wine industry or for consumers seeking a formal introduction to wine. No prior experience or knowledge is expected for attendance in this course.

This course runs for 5 weeks with the last class for exam.

Level 2 Award in Wine & Spirits

The WSET Level 2 Course offers a strong foundation in the world of wine and spirits and covers all major grape varieties and wine styles, key world wine regions, label terminology and professional wine tasting technique.

Students will build a comprehensive understanding of wine through outside reading, lectures and discussions, and evaluation of over 60 wines using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting.

This course is the ideal starting point for professionals or enthusiasts who want to take their knowledge to the next level. Although there is no prerequisite for this course, many of our students find it useful to begin their studies with the Introduction to Wine Series.
